This is the portrait of the client’s grandfather from Wales, a friend of the artist -
John Kelt Edwards. The artist was born in Wales and he was a portrait painter and illustrator. He illustrated the works of several French authors and painted portraits of David Lloyd George, Sir ST Evans, W Vaughan Morgan, Lord Mayor of London and others.

The painting is an oil on canvas, measuring 45 x 35 cm.

It was badly damaged by age and improper storage etc. This painting had to be relined to strengthen the canvas before cleaning and retouching.
